Hi :) {That’s all folks}

The Sweet Escape~ Mia & Aaron

aaronhastings:

“You’re dating a retired jock,” Aaron corrected Mia’s sentence with a chuckle and wrapped his arms around hers as well, holding her closer against him, just because he could. “That was what I wanted to do, but I was ki-” Aaron stopped himself. Shit, he nearly told her that he was kicked off the team. “It just didn’t happen,” he said instead and cursed internally at himself for it. He just didn’t want to bring that time of his past back up, it was something he rather wasn’t proud of. “When I was about 10 or so, me and Parker camped like this all the time. We did it both inside of the house or in the garden,” he explained and sighed softly, missing the old days. “Camping with you is definitely better though,” he assured her with a wink. At her question, Aaron lightly scratched his chin and thought for a second. “My mind is blank!” he whined and laughed.

"Yeah, but why retired? I picture you as a quarterback for the Patriots or something like that." A part of Mia knew she was being nosy, but she was sure that Aaron knew that he didn’t have to answer if he didn’t want to, but the whole thing baffled Mia. Aaron looked more than qualified to be a pro player, so how could other people not see what Mia saw? "Well, what ever happened it’s the NFL’s loss and my gain.", she nudged Aaron a little smiled at him. "Besides, we could play against each other whenever you feel like, just as long as you promise not to go easy on me." Mia hated when boys held back because of her height or the fact that she was a girl. It made her put in more effort into whatever she did, just to prove them otherwise. She was one of the boys and Mia wanted everyone to know that. She listened with great intent as Aaron explained his childhood story. Mia found it cute, imagining baby Aaron and Parker setting up tents and pretending to go camping. It was one of the downsides of growing up as an only child, but she survived it. "That is adorable! I can just picture you now, telling Parker what to do and "roasting" marshmellows over a candle or something.", she laughed a bit, but held it back with a bit to her bottom lip. "I hope so, sadly I’m no baby Parker but I can be just as better!" Mia leaned her head over so that her eyes were perpendicular to his. Rolling her eyes, Mia ran a finger through her hair, searching for an activity they could do. "How about star gazing?" It was a trick Mia had learned from her father when she was younger. She dashed out of the "tent" and ran for a flash light and a container with holes. She found a tiny strainer and made her way back inside, only to blow out the candle, turn on the flashlight, and hold it underneath the strainer. Mia nudged her head up the the ceiling of the camp where a whole bunch of tiny lights reflected. "What do you think?", she asked while placing down the flashlight and moving over closer to Aaron, her eyes still fixed on the "stars".

The Sweet Escape~ Mia & Aaron

aaronhastings:

Aaron raised his eyebrows slightly in surprise by what Mia had just told him. “Local boxing champion, huh?” He sounded impressed, and he was. Because who wouldn’t be impressed by a twelve year old female boxing champion? Maybe she had more strength in there than what it looked like on the outside. He grinned at her. “That’s actually pretty awesome,” he said. “But just so I can sound a little cool as well, I can say that I was the captain on the football team in College,” he winked at her with another laugh escaping his lips. A few seconds of silence filled the room and they were just lying there and relaxing. But then, all of the sudden, Mia plopped up from the floor and disappeared into his bedroom. Aaron was too caught up in trying to figure out what she was up to to get up and actually follow her. But before he got that far, she was back with his sheet. He watched fascinated at she set it up to a tent-looking thing, shut the lights and lit a candle underneath it. “Oh God, this reminds me of when I was a kid!” he grinned.

"Mmhmm.", she nodded her head while she laced her arms around Aaron’s waist. Mia loved that title since it made her feel special, almost important. Even though she mostly went against boys her age, it still felt good to Mia. Some days she wondered how good she would’ve been if she didn’t quit, but Mia was glad to have her munchkins so it really didn’t matter. Mia looked up at Aaron, more than interested by what he said. "So you mean to tell me, I’m dating a Jock? Why didn’t you move on to the big leagues?" If Aaron was captain, there should’ve been no reason why he didn’t turn pro. "I never went camping, besides Achomawi that is. I figured we could have our own little camp, only to us." Mia looked over at Aaron and shrugged. The idea was cheesey, but it could be some fun, right? The only bad thing was that Mia had no idea what they were going to do. At Achomawi, the activities were already planned out, so all the counselors needed to do was facilitate. "Since it’s too early for lunch, what should we do as a first activity?"

The Sweet Escape~ Mia & Aaron

aaronhastings:

“Totally fair!” Aaron let out cheerfully for his own good and laughed with her, knowing that she knew that he was only joking with her. That was the good thing about her, they could both joke around with each other and the other one would instantly know it and play along. It was like they were reading each others minds or something. “You are? Really?” Aaron shot up his eyebrows and looked skeptically at her, as if he didn’t believe her. He actually believed that she would be quite a fighter though. Maybe not with strength, but with speed and surprises. Lightly running a hand through Mia’s dark silky soft hair, Aaron smiled and nodded. “Sounds like a great idea,”

"Whatever!", she rolled her eyes as she continued to laugh. "Yes I am. When I was 12, I was the local boxing champion, so there!" Mia said proudly. For the longest amount if time, Mia had been perceived as a bully because not only did she have a sharp tongue, but she also had the capability to back it up. Even though she was "tough" Mia knew better than to mess with the kids bigger than her, she was wild but not stupid. She closed her eyes, letting out a faint smile as Aaron’s ran through her hair. Times like these, Mia was grateful that her hair decided to cooperate with her. "Great..", she said softly, with her head still resting on his chest. All they needed now was something to do to pass the time. Immediately an idea sprang in her head, causing her to get up and run down the hall and into Aaron’s room. A few seconds later, Mia returned with a giant sheet in her hands and began propping it up around Aaron like a tent. Once it was set up, she turned off any lights that were on, and pulled the blinds back so that the apartment was dark. Finally finished, Mia picked up a candle and a match stick and brought it into the "tent". "To pass the time, we’re going camping.", she smiled at him before lighting the blue candle and blowing out the match stick.

I feel like it’s been forever and a day..

tom—clarke:

‘fraid not, love. They have been talking it over for a bit and they’ve talked with the NYC branch. It’s just where they think we need to be.

I’m officially heartbroken

The Sweet Escape~ Mia & Aaron

aaronhastings:

“That’s for me to know and for you to find out,” Aaron teased Mia with another wink and let a smirk spread across his lips. “I know you don’t,” he returned her smile and absentmindedly trailed his fingers feather-lightly up and down her back. Aaron still hated Z for what she had done to her, and he wanted so bad to have Mia’s memory back. It was probably a selfish thought, but he couldn’t help it. He loved her, and he was pretty sure that he always would, so knowing that she had missed out on most parts of their relationship sucked so bad. He found it amusing to tell her about it though, seeing her reactions to the things she’d done and so on, but he still wanted her to actually remember it. Having her lips on his again made him smile, and he kissed her back right away. He wrapped his arms more properly around her and enjoyed each second of it. As they’d switched places for Mia to try and lift him, Aaron couldn’t help but grin at the same time. She did attempt, but didn’t manage it too well. “You can always try,” he said with a laugh, automatically leaning his head into her hand.

"No fair!", she whined while she pushed Aaron away. She quickly pulled him back close to her and started laughing. He had a way of making her smile which was something that Mia loved. Her mother often told her that if a man could get her to smile, he could get her to do anything and even though it wasn’t all that hard to make Mia smile, she would do anything for Aaron. Going over that in her mind again, Mia felt weird. She couldn’t even bring herself to tell him how she felt about him, but she was positive that she’d do anything for him. Her body melted into his as his arms wrapped around her petite frame and their lips danced together while they kissed. Breaking away seemed like the hardest thing to do, but it had to be done. "What do you mean try? I;m quite the fighter if you didn’t know.", she laugh while her thumb caressed his cheek once his head settled into her palm. "I have an idea. Can we go sailing tonight? You know, when it’s nice an dark out. I think it’ll be a whole lot of fun swimming in the dark."

Dying of boredom

The Sweet Escape~ Mia & Aaron

aaronhastings:

“Hey, I’m capable of more than it looks like I am,” he assured her jokingly with a grin and sent her a wink back again. “And just admit it, Mia. You loved getting paint all over your front,” he laughed, thinking about how she looked like with white covering most parts of her body. As they were both laying on the floor, Aaron glanced over at Mia with a smile still lingering at his lips. It seemed as if he was incapable of keeping a straight face with Mia around. Aaron was about to kiss her back once her lips touched his, but the kiss was over as sudden as it started. He let out a soft whiny sound because of that. At what she said, Aaron just rolled his eyes. “Is that so? Tell me, are you able to lift me?” he asked and shot up his eyebrows questioningly and a smirk was playing at his lips. It actually wouldn’t surprise him that she could do that, because Mia was full of surprises.

"Oh yeah, how much more?", she wiggled her eyebrows and nudged his shoulder for effect." I wish I could admit it Aaron, but I have no recollection of getting paint on me.", she said in a soft voice and shrugged her shoulders. Mia wish she could remember it, seeing as how it sounded like fun, but nothing came to her. Every time Mia tried to think back on any event dealing with Aaron, she’d just get a massive headache. Eventually she stopped trying to remember and just let things be, besides it was more fun hearing the stories anyway. Mia laughed at Aaron’s whine and closed her eyes, only to lean back over to kiss him again. This time the kiss was steady and yet passionate at the same time. Mia was careful not to get sloppy, otherwise she’d mess up the mood. Her lips grazed against his while she continued to kiss him, and Mia smiled into it when they did. She then broke away, only to answer his question, "I don’t know about that, but it’s worth a shot.” Mia chuckled, slipping her body underneath his. She propped her hands on Aaron’s shoulder and pushed upwards. Mia managed to get him about half an inch away from her, but that was it. Her arms gave out after a few minutes and his body was reunited with hers. “Okay, I’m not that strong, but I can still beat you up.”, she breathed out laughing, also running her fingers through his hair.
